So after trying both the Apple website and the AT&T site that both crashed for me today. I was able to stroll into best buy on hempstead tpke. l-town and pre-order the new iPhone in less than 5 minutes. They did however lie to me over the phone when I asked if they had a replacement plan for the iPhone 4. They told me it was $14.99 and covered everything but theft, ei. cracked screen, water damage, & lightning! I thought this to be too good to be true (which it was). When I tried to buy it they told me it was $14.99 PER MONTH. Which in the course of a year would have cost me almost the price of the phone. So I didn’t go for it but still pre-ordered the phone. Then the guy told me there’s a chance I will still not receive my iPhone and that it can still sell out until the middle of July. “What’s the point of reserving it through this pre-sale?” I asked, to which he had no answer except that my deposit is refundable. So I guess thats fine? either I get it or I don’t and get my $50 back…. Sweet! Can’t wait to video chat over wifi… ya know… the same thing I can do on the computer I’m currently typing on. FUTURE!
